They actually started arguing in front of me about what they wanted to do. I had no idea what was going on and started silently crying. A nurse happened to be walking by and started scolding them as she ran to comfort me. Now the entire time I was in the hospital I had been reading Star Trek novels and one of the doctors had noticed. He would irritate his colleagues whenever he came in by having a whole conversation with me about Star Trek that none of them could follow. When he realized how upset I was he knelt down next to me and explained what they were going to do using all Star Trek references.
